This policy covers the Uxify Chrome extension only. Our website and the Uxify platform for businesses are covered by the Uxify Privacy Policy.
Who we are
Whenever this policy says "Uxify", "we", "us", or "our", it means UXIFY OOD, UIC 204909232, 3A Prof. Georgi Bradistilov str, 1700 Sofia, Bulgaria, European Union. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. You can reach us at legal@uxify.com.
The short version
- Your browsing stays yours. Uxify looks up how fast the page you are on is for other visitors, so it sends that page's address to our servers and nothing else. No browsing history is built.
- Sensitive sites are skipped. Uxify turns itself off on banking, health, and similar sites. Nothing runs, nothing is measured.
- Only anonymous experience stats. How fast pages open and where clicks get stuck, combined across all users. Never what you type, never who you are.
These are the same three promises the extension shows you before you start using it. The rest of this policy is the detail behind them.
What the extension processes
1. The speed lookup (works without an account)
When you visit a page, the extension asks our servers how fast that page is for other visitors. To answer, the request carries the page's web address and nothing else: no name, no account, no identifier that singles you out. We use the address to answer that request. We do not keep it as a record of your browsing, and we never assemble a history of the pages you visit.
2. Anonymous experience statistics
The extension measures how pages perform: how fast they appear, how quickly they react to clicks, how stable they are while loading, how fast the server responds, and where clicks get stuck. These measurements are combined across all users. They contain no page content, no keystrokes, and nothing that identifies you.
3. Data that stays on your device
Your settings, your list of sites where you turned Uxify off, and your time earned and speed statistics are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us. "Clear data" in the extension settings erases the statistics, and uninstalling the extension removes everything.
4. AI Boost (optional, with Google sign-in)
AI Boost is off until you turn it on with your Google account. If you do, we process:
- Your email address, received from Google when you sign in. We use it to prevent abuse and to count your free monthly quota of AI pages. We do not use it for marketing without your separate consent.
- Prediction signals. To start loading your likely next page before you click, the extension sends prediction requests about the site you are navigating. These serve only the prediction and are not used to build a profile of you.
You can turn AI Boost off or sign out at any time in the extension settings. When it is off, none of this is processed.
Google user data
Uxify's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The extension also complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy: the data described here is used only to provide the extension's single purpose of making your browsing faster.
What we never do
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not use your data for advertising or build advertising profiles.
- We do not build a history of the pages you visit.
- We do not run or measure anything on sensitive sites such as banking, health, and government sites.
- We do not read page content and we do not record what you type.
Legal bases
Under the GDPR, we rely on your consent, which you give by pressing "Start browsing faster" after reading the disclosure, and again when you sign in with Google to turn on AI Boost. For operating, securing, and protecting the service against abuse, we rely on our legitimate interests.
Sharing
We use infrastructure providers, such as hosting, to run the service. They process data for us under data protection agreements and only on our instructions. We may disclose information when the law requires it. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
International transfers
We process data in the European Union. If a transfer outside the European Economic Area is ever needed, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Page addresses from the speed lookup are processed to answer the request and are not retained as a record of your browsing.
- Anonymous, combined experience statistics contain no personal data and may be retained to improve the service.
- If you use AI Boost, your email address is kept while your AI Boost is active and deleted when you ask us to, or after your account is removed.
Your rights
If you are in the EU or EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also complain to your supervisory authority; in Bulgaria this is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP). If you are a California resident, you have the rights to know, to delete, and to equal service under the CCPA.
To exercise any right, write to legal@uxify.com. Data stored on your device is under your direct control: use "Clear data" in the extension settings or uninstall the extension.
Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change what the extension collects or how we use it, we will show the change inside the extension and ask for your consent again before it applies. The date at the top tells you when this policy was last updated.
